RECOGNITION OF THE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION OF DOTTORE COMMERCIALISTA AND ESPERTO CONTABILE
In addition to nationals of EU Member States, any foreign nationals may apply for the recognition of their professional title. The recognition of a professional title awarded in a non-EU Country requires some more formalities, as opposed to the recognition of titles awarded in EU Member States, especially for what concerns the documents to be submitted.

Examination of the application
If, further to the examination of the application, a lack of knowledge is identified of any key subject required to qualify for the accounting profession in Italy, the applicant may be required to take an aptitude test. The professional education and experience acquired by the applicant should be taken into account (when appropriate documentation is available) to consider whether such compensation measures may be reduced.
